The Gopher (scientific name - Geomys Bursarius), is a burrowing rodent native to North America. Gophers weigh around a half a pound, and are about 6–8 inches in length. Their lifespan is typically 3-5 years. All pocket gophers create a network of tunnel systems, which is perfect for protection and collecting food. They are considered food hoarders, and like hamsters, they use their cheeks to store food and carry back to their den.
This real Gopher Skull makes for a unique addition to any Oddities or Skull collection. Measures approx. 2 1/4 - 2 1/2 inches long by 1 3/8 inches wide.
